Overview

The framework

Spain regulates online gambling at national level, with general licences for categories of games and singular licences for specific game types, granted by the Directorate General for the Regulation of Gambling (DGOJ).

Banco de España authorises payment and e-money institutions. The National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) supervises investment services and is the competent authority for crypto-asset service providers under MiCA.
